Orange County Taxi Fares
No rate card to decode and no guessing what the meter will say. Enter your addresses, see the fare, and decide before anything is booked.
How your fare is worked out
Your price comes from the trip you actually asked for — the real pickup address, the real destination and the vehicle type you pick — not from a per-mile rate you have to do math on. The calculator prices every vehicle type available on your route at the same time, so choosing between them is a comparison rather than a guess.
We do not publish a rate card on this page on purpose. A printed table goes stale, and a stale number on a website is worse than no number at all. The calculator is always current.
Why seeing the fare first matters
A price you only learn at the end of the trip depends on the traffic and the route taken, and Orange County freeways at rush hour can make that a long wait to find out. Seeing the fare before you book moves the decision to before you leave, when you can compare it and think about it.
Trips people price most often
The calculator handles any route, but these are the ones people look up before they book — each with a page explaining what to expect:
Taxi fare FAQs
How do I find out the fare for my trip?
Use the calculator on this page. Enter the pickup and drop-off addresses, pick a vehicle type, and the fare appears — no phone call and no personal details needed to see it.
Why is there no price list on this page?
Because a printed table is out of date the moment rates change, and it cannot know your exact addresses. The calculator always uses the current pricing and is the same engine the booking takes its price from.
What changes the price of a trip?
Mainly the route itself and the vehicle type you choose: a longer trip costs more than a short one, and a larger vehicle costs more than a smaller one. Both are priced before you confirm, so you can compare vehicle types side by side.
Is a bigger vehicle worth it for a group?
Often, yes. The calculator prices every available vehicle type for your exact route, so a group can see at a glance whether one larger vehicle works out better than two smaller ones.
Do longer trips work the same way?
Yes. A ride to LAX, Los Angeles or San Diego is priced the same way as a trip across Irvine: enter the destination and the fare for the whole trip comes back before you commit.
Is a round trip cheaper than two one-way bookings?
Not automatically — each leg is priced for its own route and time, so price both and compare.
